This is a self-guided audio tour of Rynok Square (with a short detour to the adjacent Latin Cathedral). You'll see the Black House, the Bandinelli Palace and the Korniakt Palace, as well as a number of other features that are fairly easily missed: the All-Seeing Eye of God, the decoration of the Heppner House and the entrance to Andreolli Passage.
Along the way, you'll hear a royal love story, you'll encounter a love triangle, and you'll get to hear the stories of Restaurant Atlas and of the former Baczewski store. All of that makes a walk around the square a real introduction to Lviv through its architecture, trade, and personal stories.
Follow the tour at your own pace, and stop for a photo or a coffee if you want. The recordings are typically between 2 and 5 minutes, so you can take the tour in your own pace, one story at a time.

Rynok Square is one of those places where you can just hang about. The townhouses are all brightly coloured, the Town Hall is in the midst of them all with all sorts of sculpted figures looking down from the facades, and there are all manner of passages you can go down to escape the general clamor. There's more to this very familiar scene than just some fine architecture, though. Behind the buildings are the stories of enterprising merchants, royal love affairs, famous businesses, and the people who made the square what it is.
